Uganda. The travel plan

Week 1:

On Saturday, July 12, we fly early in the morning from Bremen to Istanbul and after a waiting time of 11 hours, we continue our journey by flying from Istanbul to Entebbe in Uganda. There we will meet the rest of the team on Sunday morning, have coffee, and then drive for 3 hours to Iganga.

After hopefully a good night's sleep, we will visit the BCM orphanage on Monday and Tuesday, which we have been supporting since 2018 with its construction, maintenance and taking care of the children, in collaboration with the Dutch foundation The Lord's Favour. Here, we will share the word with the children, organize activities, and bless them.

On Wednesday morning, we will visit the children again (briefly)

to say goodbye and then depart for Busia. The journey takes about 2 hours. Then we prepare for Thursday.

On Thursday morning, we will visit the Ebenhezer High School in Busia and later in the day we will go to Masaba College. There we will share the gospel and provide Bible lessons to young adults. We also hope to provide Bibles to the Bible study club there, so they can study without the already poor internet connection.

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons and evenings, we have a three-day conference where we teach the Word to church leaders and their congregations. Here too, the children are separately teached in the Word, and we engage in discussions with the young adults about biblical themes that are currently relevant in their lives. During the day, we go out to spread the gospel in the surrounding villages and call people to follow Jesus.

Week 2:

In the second week we will start at the Masafu hospital, where we will encourage and bless the sick with hygiene products, baby formula, diapers, etc. We will proclaim the gospel and pray for the healing of the sick. After lunch, we will go to the cell groups of the New Hope in Christ Church in Busia to engage in conversation and learn from each other, despite the differences between churches and cultures.

On Tuesday morning we hope to leave well-rested and refreshed for the Kids Hope Center in Butacho Nesaga. There we will undoubtedly experience a special time and witness the blessings of God. We will dance and sing together to express our joy and gratitude.

On Wednesday we will visit a daycare center again, this time in Bugoma. Here too, we want to bless the children by personally blessing them and giving them something small to enrich their lives for a moment. Furthermore, like at all other locations, we are curious about the progress that has been made at this location.

This Thursday will be a very special day, as we will visit people in the most remote areas. We listen to people's stories, pray for them, and encourage them. It will be a long walk, but we are following in the footsteps of our predecessors ;=)

On Friday morning we will start our return journey to Kampala, a drive of about 5 hours on busy roads. Along the way, we'll stop for a moment to enjoy the beautiful landscape. Later in the day, we will prepare at the hotel for the journey back to Germany.

In the evening we hope to arrive safely in Germany on Saterday, July 26.
